In a strategic move to address security challenges and foster holistic development, the Enugu State Government, led by His Excellency Barr Peter Ndubuisi, is partnering with the Nigeria Police Force to host the Indigenous Royal Security and Development Summit. Themed "Security: Catalyst for Community Development," the summit is set to be a pivotal platform for collaboration among various stakeholders.
Scheduled to grace the occasion are Governor Peter Ndubuisi, Commissioner of Police Enugu State, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, and retired CP Emmanuel Ojukwu. Hosted by the Enugu State Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon Sunday Ajogwu Emeka, and chaired by Hon. Okey Ogbodo, the Commissioner for Local Government, Rural Development, and Chieftancy Affairs, the summit aims to bring together government officials, companies, the Royal Family, religious leaders, and security agencies.
A primary focus of the summit is addressing security concerns in both urban and often overlooked rural areas. Recognizing the need for comprehensive security planning, the event seeks to formulate a strategy that encompasses all regions of the state.
Promoting collaboration and cooperation, the summit facilitates dialogue between different entities, fostering the sharing of information, resources, and expertise. This approach is expected to lead to more effective security measures and overall progress in Enugu State.
Beyond security, the summit serves as a platform for discussions on the state's development. By encouraging interaction between the government, companies, and the royal family, the event ensures that security measures align with the broader developmental goals of Enugu State. The summit is poised to be a catalyst for positive change, emphasizing the interdependence of security and development for the well-being of the community.
