The Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Barr (Dr) Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, has pledged to tackle the state's poverty and unemployment challenges through a Tech Upskilling Initiative. This program aims to train 40,000 individuals annually in various technology-driven skills over the next eight (8) years, as outlined in his manifesto to the people of Enugu.
To ensure a comprehensive statewide impact, the initiative will be implemented in quarterly cycles, with 10,000 beneficiaries trained every three (3) months. The strategic demographic on-boarding plan has been carefully crafted to include specific categories of individuals who instantly qualify and stand to benefit from this program such as;
a) The unemployed graduates
b) The unemployed secondary school leavers*
c) The unemployed with just basic Primary School Certification
d) The fresh school leavers
e) Undergraduates across our over 21 tertiary institutions in STEM related courses
f) Undergraduates with an affinity for Technology learning.
g) Beneficiaries in categories “A-F above” that reside in the LGAs and Suburbs.
h) Beneficiaries in categories “A-F above” that reside in the metropolis.
In accordance with this demographic spread,
the Enugu State Ministry of Human Development and Poverty Eradication,
Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation,
Microsoft Nigeria, and the Enugu State Technology Hub have partnered to launch the TechyfyMe Technology Upskilling Project, an Inter MDA Initiative aimed to Upskill 10,000 beneficiaries every Quarter for the next eight (8) years.
Accordingly, we want to start first with building a database of the different potential beneficiaries of this program, which will commence this December 2023,

We are counting very heavily on your total support in circulating this database survey, aimed strategically collecting the data of the abovelisted potential beneficiaries of this grandslam initiative of our dear Governor, to keep a promise made to Ndi Enugu to alter the Tech skill index exponentially and change the landscape of Poverty and Unemployment forever in Enugu State.
