In line with Gov. Peter Mbah's resolute stride towards poverty alleviation and agricultural advancement, the Women Support Women Community Network (WOSCONET) has partnered with the Enugu State Voluntary Agro Training and Consultancy Initiative (ENSVATCI) to kickstart practical training in various agro-based skills. This commendable initiative comes on the heels of a highly successful one-day workshop conducted in the same areas.

Amb. Mrs. Amaka Nweke JP, the founder of WOSCONET, expressed her heartfelt satisfaction with the overwhelming turnout of eager beneficiaries for these invaluable training sessions. The training covers a spectrum of essential agro skills, including fishery, poultry, crop production, snail farming, mushroom farming, and livestock feed production. It is being hailed as one of the most comprehensive and hands-on agricultural training programs in the South East region.

Speaking about the initiative, Amb. Mrs. Amaka Nweke JP highlighted its alignment with the Enugu State Government's commitment to uplifting local communities. She underscored that the event aimed to equip Enugu farmers and aspiring agriculturists with the vital knowledge necessary for a brighter and more sustainable agricultural future.

Amb. Nweke further emphasized the pivotal role of this training in empowering women, youths, and children in the agricultural sector. She expressed her gratitude to Enugu State Governor Barr. Peter Mbah for his unwavering dedication to eradicating poverty in the state.

The trainers and resource persons team led by Mr Chijioke Ukwuani conducted practical sessions and engaged participants in interactive discussions that proved highly informative. These sessions provided a comprehensive understanding of various agro-based techniques, ensuring that participants are better equipped to confront the challenges of modern farming.

WOSCONET's collaboration with ENSVATCI represents a significant step towards achieving Governor Peter Mbah's "Zero Poverty" mandate in Enugu State, fostering a brighter and more sustainable agricultural future for its citizens.
