WOSCONET Celebrates Gov. Peter Mbah's Tribunal Victory, Commends His Steadfastness and Commitment to Development of Enugu State

The Enugu State governorship election tribunal has dismissed the allegations of certificate forgery against His Excellency, Barr. Peter Mbah, the Governor of Enugu State, it was in this joyful mood that the Women Support Women Community Network (WOSCONET), a global women advocacy group, extends its heartfelt congratulations to Governor Peter Mbah and his wife, Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, on this resounding victory.

The tribunal, chaired by Justice Kudirat Murayo Akano, delivered its verdict, bringing an end to a protracted legal battle that questioned the authenticity of Governor Peter Mbah's National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate. The tribunal's decision was a significant relief for Governor Mbah, who had faced allegations of not submitting his NYSC certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in aid of his qualification to contest for the governor's office.

WOSCONET's Ambassador Nweke praised the tribunal's decision as a triumph for democracy and the will of the people. She emphasized that this ruling marks a decisive conclusion to a period of political uncertainty in Enugu State. It affirms Governor Peter Mbah's mandate as the duly elected leader of the state, reflecting the will of the people expressed in the March 18 election.

With the legal hurdles now cleared, Governor Peter Mbah can wholeheartedly focus on his responsibilities as the leader of Enugu State, secure in the legitimacy of his position as reaffirmed by the tribunal's ruling.
