The Enugu State Ministry of Education has extended their warmest congratulations to His Excellency, Barr. Peter Mbah, the Governor of Enugu State, following his triumphant outcome at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Enugu on Thursday, 21st of September 2023.

In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ndubueze Mbah, Governor Peter Mbah was commended for his unwavering commitment to the development of Enugu State. The Commissioner expressed immense joy at the tribunal's decision, considering it not only a well-deserved victory for the governor but also a momentous win for the entire state.

The congratulatory statement released by Prof. Ndubueze Mbah on his official Facebook handle read, "The Honorable Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ndubueze Mbah, in solidarity with the Entire Community of Students, Teachers, and Education Administrators across Enugu State, celebrates as the Enugu State Election Petition Tribunal affirmed the election mandate of NDI Enugu for the Government of His Excellency Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. This is a victory for massive development and sustainable emancipation for NDI Enugu. Congratulations to His Excellency! Our Tomorrow is Here!!!"

Governor Peter Mbah, now freed from legal challenges, can fully concentrate on his responsibilities as the leader of Enugu State, with the legitimacy of his position reaffirmed by the tribunal's ruling.

The tribunal, chaired by Justice Kudirat Murayo Akano, delivered its verdict, putting an end to a protracted legal battle that had questioned the authenticity of Governor Peter Mbah's National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate. This decision comes as a significant relief for Governor Mbah, who had faced allegations of not submitting his NYSC certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to support his eligibility to contest for the governor's office.

Prof. Ndubueze praised the tribunal's decision as a victory for democracy and the will of the people. He emphasized that this ruling marks a decisive conclusion to a period of political uncertainty in Enugu State. It firmly upholds Governor Peter Mbah's mandate as the duly elected leader of the state, reflecting the people's will expressed in the March 18 election.

With the legal disputes now behind him, Governor Peter Mbah can continue his work towards the progress and development of Enugu State, fulfilling the promises made to the people during the election campaign. Ndi-Enugu can look forward to a brighter future under his leadership
