In a startling revelation over the weekend, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Taraba State, Joseph Joshua, has raised a serious concern regarding the mysterious disappearance of several official vehicles from the ministry. The incident has sent shockwaves throughout the state capital.
Commissioner Joseph Joshua, speaking passionately about the matter, pledged to implement rigorous mechanisms to uncover the truth behind the missing vehicles. The vehicles in question, which were reportedly absent before his tenure, include an ambulance, a 504 Peugeot, a Toyota Hilux, and a Coaster bus.
He alleged that a former commissioner of the ministry was responsible for the disappearance of the 504 Peugeot, while a director of the ministry had taken off with the Toyota Hilux. Expressing his outrage, he questioned, "How can somebody take government property worth millions of naira and sell it? I am planning on how to succeed; therefore, I am not afraid of any saboteur."
Furthermore, Commissioner Joshua expressed his dismay at the behavior of one of his directors, who allegedly traveled out of the state without obtaining the ministry's approval. He firmly stated, "I am telling you it’s not going to be business as usual. I am ready to work with people who believe in the vision of our administration, moving forward under the leadership of Governor Agbu Kefas."
The disappearance of these official vehicles has raised concerns about accountability and transparency within the ministry, and the Commissioner's commitment to addressing this issue is expected to bring about significant developments in the coming days.
