The tribunal has upheld the victory of Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu as the Governor of Lagos State. The ruling comes after a challenge to the March 18 governorship election results by Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) initially declared Babajide Sanwo-Olu, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the winner of the governorship election in Lagos State. Sanwo-Olu secured a resounding victory, with a substantial margin over his closest rival.

The election results revealed that Governor Sanwo-Olu garnered a total of 762,134 votes, solidifying his position as the winner. In a commendable showing, the Labour Party's candidate, Rhodes-Vivour, secured second place with 312,329 votes, while Jide Adediran (Jandor) of the PDP trailed behind in a distant third place, with 62,449 votes.

Despite the legal challenge mounted by Jandor, the tribunal has affirmed Babajide Sanwo-Olu's mandate as the Governor of Lagos State. This decision maintains the status quo, cementing Sanwo-Olu's position as the leader of the state
