In another notable case, Justice Nweze delivered a split judgment of three-against-two, which declared Ahmad Lawan as the authentic candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Yobe North Senatorial District during the 25 February general election. A native of Obollo in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State, Justice Nweze was born on September 25, 1958. He was appointed to the Supreme Court in 2014, during Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, following the recommendation of the National Judicial Council (NJC).
