Still on the Handshake Across the Niger for a Progressive Socio-Economic Bond Amongst the Igbo and the Yoruba Nations

By Agu Onyeji

While intellectuals, technocrats, innovators, investors, business magnates, wealth creators, ranking lawyers and eminent personalities like Mr Peter Obi, Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, Dr. Peter Mbah, Enugu Governor-Elect, Senator Shehu Sani, Prof. Chinedu Nebo, former Minister for Power and former Vice Chancellor, University of Nigeria, Igwe Ambassador Lawrence Agubuzu, Prof. Akinyemi Onigbinde, Prof Pat Utomi, among other Nigerians converged on Enugu today vide Nzuko Umunna to brainstorm on how to build a robust platform, forge a progressive relationship between the two nations described as the most educated, innovative, egalitarian and goal-oriented in Nigeria;
The likes of Chijioke Edeoga, and other gluttonous and insatiable gobblers were gallivanting around burial ceremonies, eating and drinking themselves to stupor, yet they feel governance is all about being parasites and moochers stealing and milking the state and the good and innocent citizens to blind.

Thank goodness, Enugu people outrightly rejected those ambitiousless strange bedfellows because the state could have collapsed under their incompetent and clueless watch.
The difference is clear; the people that converged for the brainstorming session at Amadeo today were driven by sociological imagination and transcendental passion to create a better society where our youths can navigate seamlessly while exploring their potentials with limitless platforms of opportunities; where more trade and business alliance could be encouraged amongst these two nations bonded by destiny; where there’ll be cross-fertilization of ideas, initiatives and pacts for the way forward; where political alliance could be forged in order to rescue the soul of this nation; where wealth would be created and poverty eradicated completely from the regions; where investment, tourism, education can eliminate all traces of differences that ab initio existed between both giant nations, and so forth.
On the other hand, those that were junketing from one point of funeral ceremony to the other, even as uninvited guests just to feign relevant before their few gullible followers and keep the social media awash and inundated with nuisances have exposed their idleness, vacuousness and joblessness since they left power and rejected by Enugu voters.

Since they’re career politicians rejected by Enugu voters, all they’ve now as their self-appointed assignment is, attend funeral ceremonies, naming ceremonies, weddings, and junketing village markets in mindless orgy that shows irresponsibility.
The difference is always clear! A New Enugu State is Possible!
