Right from the entrance of Bar. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah into the Enugu State governorship race on the platform of the PDP, many people, including his co-aspirants were jittery and envious of him, given his past exploits, intimidating profile and soaring popularity.
That is why one of his co-aspirants in the PDP governorship race, now governorship candidate of the labourers in Nsukka ferociously unleashed social media campaign of calumny and propagation of lies against him ahead of the primaries.
Such cheap blackmail didn't stop Mbah from winning the party primary and becoming the PDP governorship candidate, a development that has not gone down well with the Labourers in Nsukka led by its governorship candidate, Bar. Chijioke Edeoga and the crisis-ridden cum factionalised All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu.
Knowing that defeat awaits them in the forthcoming elections, the oppositions have continued to throw jabs, tantrums and peddle unfounded allegations against Bar. Mbah on social media consistently, instead of campaigning and canvassing for support and votes.
Their utmost priority is not to contest and win elections, because they know that with Bar. Mbah in the race they cannot win. That is why they have resorted to fabricating and peddling all kinds of unfounded, baseless and laughable allegations against Bar. Mbah on social media platforms as well as instituting frivolous suits in courts against him using proxies and amorphous groups.
Oppositions, especially the few labourers in Nsukka, their sponsors and social media hirelings have not been able to win a single case against Bar. Mbah in court or substantiate any allegation against him on social media with incontrovertible evidence in any court as of today.
Not ashamed of their known antics of social media mudslingings and politics of character assassination, the few labourers in Nsukka, recently sponsored a faceless group, who alleged that Bar. Mbah didn't perform one year NYSC programme and that the NYSC certificate he submitted to INEC was fake.
Not done with such obvious and blatant lies of parading fake letter allegedly from NYSC management claiming that Bar. Mbah's certificate is fake, the Nsukka labourers' social media hirelings and fabricators of fake and malicious articles and news stories which include one frustrated man from Lejja in Nsukka called Aniebona Nwamu, Francis Edeh, Ifeanyi Ogenyi, Shepherd Njoku, Don Eze and others fabricated and shared another fake news that Bar. Mbah collapsed when he was told in the NYSC office Abuja that his certificate was fake.
Haba, what kind of social desperations and madness is this by the oppositions in Enugu? Why are they afraid and envious of Bar. Mbah being in the race if they are not afraid of being defeated in the elections with Bar. Mbah in the race? Why this relentless campaign of calumny and character assassination of Bar. Mbah, when evidences abound that Bar. Mbah completed his one year NYSC programme?
Why are the labourers in Nsukka so scared and afraid of Bar. Mbah being in the race? Why have they become the instigators, complainants and judges as well in all their sponsored and orchestrated litigations and campaign of calumny against Bar. Mbah? Why are the oppositions afraid of allowing the courts and security agents to do their work, if they have any genuine case against Bar. Mbah?
Dissecting all the frivolous suits sponsored and filed against Bar. Mbah and the PDP since after the primaries by the oppositions, especially labourers in Nsukka, which include that of one Chika Idoko of ADC, the Bar. George Ogara's instigated suit of alleged plea bargain, the case of alleged forgery against Enugu PDP State Chairman, Hon. Augustine Nnamani and others, one needs no prophet to know that they are not only meaningless, they are baseless and have no place in law.
They are just choreographic ploys by the sinking and drowning oppositions to hoodwink the unsuspecting publics and attract undue relevance to themselves ahead of the forthcoming elections, which PDP has every chance and is in better position to win landslide in Enugu state.
