The good people of the area were delighted to receive the candidates, pledged their total support, and described the RG/Omeiheukwu project as the partnership of two renowned Engineers, that portends great prospect for the constituents.
The highlight of the occasion was the endorsement of the RG/Omeiheukwu project by the famous Save Awgu Forum Enugu (SAFE).
SAFE is a socio-cultural /political pressure group founded and led by the Imperial Majesty, Emperor Chris Baywood Ibe, to champion the political emancipation of the general Indigenes and territory of Awgu LGA.
The PDP candidate for Enugu West senatorial zone, Engr. Osita Ngwu(RG) poured encomium on the group and enunciated his relationship with them as the only non indigene of Awgu who is a member.
The PDP candidate for Awgu/Aninri/Oji River federal constituency, Engr. Dr. Anayo Onwuegbu (Omeiheukwu), whose earth moving equipments had been deployed to all the communities in Awgu, promised to give exceptional representation to the people.
The campaign which was attended by the high and mighty in Awgu, ended colourfully with high enthusiasm and expectations.
