It is clear that Enugu state is set to witness a massive transformation in the education sector as Barr. Peter Mbah’s keenly prepared Manifesto captures key factors that aid early child academic development and basic rudiments for a smooth transformation of education in the state when he stated the core of his administration’s proposed educational programmes such as; free and qualitative education up to secondary school aimed at achieving improved performance external in exams such that Enugu State will continue to rank first in the states exam performance league table. Pursuit of better initiative to ensure that schools are safe and have all necessary facilities, promotion of vocational and technical education, establishment of adult literacy centers, making education accessible to those with learning disabilities and collaborating with private investors, allumni associations of tertiary institutions, international educational institutions etc.

According to World Bank, Education is a human right, a powerful driver of development, and one of the strongest instruments for reducing poverty and improving health, gender equality, peace, and stability. It delivers large, consistent returns in terms of income, and is the most important factor to ensure equity and inclusion

For individuals, education promotes employment, earnings, health, and poverty reduction. Globally, there is a 9% increase in hourly earnings for every extra year of schooling. For societies, it drives long-term economic growth, spurs innovation, strengthens institutions, and fosters social cohesion.

Developing countries have made tremendous progress in getting children into the classroom and more children worldwide are now in school, but learning is not guaranteed without adequate support for a child's overall wellbeing. This support ranges from diet, environmental care and exposure to technological materials that aid academic growth.
