Investigations revealed that Opata Igbo who has before now leveled false allegations against Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and blackmailed other PDP leaders in Uzo Uwani LGA and the state at large, while in All Progressives Congress (APC ) later joined the PDP, with hope that he will grab State House of Assembly ticket.
A friend of Opata Igbo who pleaded anonymity said: "After contesting the PDP House of Assembly primary and lost, Opata Igbo quickly jumped to Labour Party where he has been playing opposition politics against PDP.
"Having been financially bankrupt and hungry, Opata Igbo mounted undue pressure on the Uzo-Uwani Council Chairman, Hon. Chukwudi Nnadozie and went further to ask him during the Christmas/ New year celebrations to give him huge sums of money, threatening that Hon. Nnadozie's failure to do so will force him ( Opata) blackmail and libel him on social media with the allegations of acquiring many houses in Nsukka.
" The Chairman, Hon. Nnadozie, who was very unperturbed, furious and angry with him for dumping and working against the PDP and his government after the losing the PDP House of Assembly primary, ignored his request and pressure, hence Opata started to peddle some snippets of false corruption allegations against the Chairman on social media platforms especially WhatsApp platforms, trying to mislead people into believing that Hon. Nnadozie is corrupt."
"I challenge Opata Igbo to deny this. I will provide incontrovertible evidence to expose his shenanigan and criminal intents,"
