And interestingly, it was the same wind of joy, total commitment, show of love and acceptance of the party, the PDP and his candidates for the upcoming general election in the state, ranging from the governorship candidate, Barr. Peter Mbah. The Enugu West senatorial candidate, Engr Osita Ngwu (RG). The Udi/Ezeagu federal house of representative candidate, Rt. Hon. Festus Uzor (Ebube Omasi) and the house of assembly candidate, Ezeagu state constituency, Rt. Hon. Chima Obieze.
Their people came out in their numbers to receive their august visitors and made bold to say that apart from PDP, no other political party is existing in Amansiodo. They only pleaded with the incoming government at the state and their representatives designates to remember them in terms of political appointment, employment, empowerment of their youth and completion of their major road. Also importantly, through one of their community leaders, the former commissioner for culture and tourism in the state, Ozo Ferdinand Anikwe (Okwuluoha), they pleaded and invited the government to come to their community and exploit the huge mineral and solid mineral deposit in Amansiodo, like crude oil, coal, columbite, core changing stone that can attract tourists if properly harnessed, etc. Ozo Ferdinand maintained that the exploitation of the mineral resources will turn Amansiodo to a mini city and ensure massive and gainful employment of their youths. Other major stakeholders who also spoke at the rally include their PG, Mr Udeabah. The councilor, Hon. Wisdom Agu. PDP ward chairman, *Hon. Fidelis Ezeilo. Amansiodo youth president general, Hon. Chukwudi Owusi. Hon. Mrs Ikeli, among others. They all thanked Dr. Uzor for all he has done for them and ndi Ezeagu at large when in power, like attracting the Enugu state college of education Iwollo among others. They equally expressed confidence in the character and capacity of Osita Ngwu, RG to turn things around and carry them along as a senator judging by his scorecard and antecedent.
RG and Dr. Uzor in their own response, thanked the people of Amansiodo for their unalloyed support to PDP and the confidence they repose in them, promising that they will never let them down. Urging the good people of Amansiodo to get their PVC and vote PDP all through, both on 25th February and on 11th March 2023 in order to ensure service delivery across board in Amansiodo, Ezeagu LG and in Enugu West at large. Saying that both tickets of national assembly coming again to Udi/Ezeagu since 2003 is a sign of good things to come. That the Ihuonyia road which work will soon commence on was included in the 2023 budget of Enugu state due to the report they took to the governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi after they visited the Ihuonyia late last year and witnessed the deplorable condition of the road. On employment and empowerment of their people, the PDP candidates assured them that they have a plan to train people in different skills, support and empower people with a start-up capital at different level. On the exploitation of natural resources/reserves in their community, the candidates told them that with the recent enlistment of Enugu state in the oil producing states, it's going to be a big milestone towards such. On this yet, Engr Osita Ngwu, RG was specific to inform the people that there is an already documented plan by the incoming governor of Enugu state, Barr Peter Mbah on how to exploit and put to use all the natural resources, solid minerals and co domicile in Enugu state when he becomes the governor. He stated that the action plan was contained in Barr. Peter Mbah's Statement Of Purpose, page 18 precisely. Assuring them that Peter Mbah, with his exceptional success in the private sector will transform and take Enugu to a higher level.
