At their arrival, the people could not hide their feelings to have the winning team, the PDP candidates with them, assuring the candidates that no other political party has ever win in any polling boot in Okpogho since the inception of democracy in 1999 and it will remain so in the forthcoming general election. Though the people cried against marginalization. That there's nothing much like social amenities or political appointment of their sons and daughters to show for their support to the party and the government. Urging the incoming government of PDP to remember them in the scheme of things both at the local and state level. And also, to connect two villages in their community, Okpogho Ngbuta and Mbanato with access road and electricity to ease the suffering of the people there. At the same time, they thanked Ebube Omasi for things he attracted to them when in power, like borehole and grading of their major road under RAMP initiative with a seasonal maintenance arrangement and scholarship to some of their children. They also unequivocally stated that Engr Osita Ngwu, RG who has never held any political position before but has helped people across board even more than those who has held a political position will certainly do a lot when he becomes a senator. That such a man, his candidature renewed their hope and confidence in the party and government, hence their total support and prayers for the team to succeed. Among their major stakeholders who spoke at the rally include the PDP ward chairman, Hon. Ifeanyi Obieze. Hon. Okwudili Onuoha. Barr. Princewill Ilo. Prince Godspower Chimereze, among others.
In their response, the PDP candidates, both RG, Ebube Omasi and Obieze thanked the good people of Okpogho ancient kingdom immensely for their support to the party so far and their promise of continue support and their assurance of voting PDP in the upcoming election both on 25th February for the national assembly members and 11th March for governorship and state house of assembly to cap the victory. Urging them to collect their PVC at the collection centers now and vote on the voting day. Giving them the assurance that their time in government has come. That their patience will never be in vain. That the upcoming election is more close to them than any other election before now judging by the capacity and closeness of the people coming out to take over the mantle of leadership in PDP. And that with *Barr Peter Mbah* as the governor of our dear state, most of their challenges which falls under the executive power will be taken care off, hence the need for them to vote him massively to ensure his victory which will guarantee the needed synergy and collaboration resulting to grassroot development across Ezeagu LG and Enugu West as a whole.
One of the highlights of the campaign rally was the presentation of a copy of Holy Bible each to all the candidates by the community as a sign of love and sword for their victory.
It ended in praise, Okpogho ancient kingdom is PDP, believes that tomorrow is here in our dear state and have signed to the Greater Enugu West Project.
