It is usually said that there is something in a name. But I think there is more in a Birthday, and that is probably why birthdays resonate with deep emotions. Even the most implacable political opponent of Ifeanyi Ossai would concede one thing to him – his heart overflows with kindness and fellow-feeling.
From the early part of last year – 2021 – more than one year before he became a household name among Enugu people - Barr. Ossai has dedicated himself to one gigantic project, to build a befitting church at Ezimo Agu, his community.
Can he afford that enormous project all by himself? The answer is no! But he is committed to the project, raising awareness, stimulating philanthropists, and utilising his wide circle of friends to raise funds to build a place of worship for the One On High. Tell me why God will not single him out for humongous blessings?
Ifeanyi Ossai is generally considered an untiring champion of justice and fairness – this is not just because of his background in jurisprudence, but his Nature. A man of honour and decency, a virtue-driven lawyer for whom injustice is red flag, his life is characterised by uncompromising moral rectitude and unbendable integrity.
But there are more significances to this day –November 13. In Roman mythology, November 13 is a sacred day to Jupiter, the god of the Sky and Thunder, and indeed, the greatest of all gods.
Further, in Roman Art, November 13 is symbolised by the goddess, Isis, also called the ‘Queen of the Throne’ associated with the seat of authority and power. Does it now make sense?
From birth, Ifeanyi Ossai is destined for the Throne. The Crown is in the linings of his palm, and emblazoned on his forehead. As the songster, Doris Day, would say: Que Sera, Sera – what will be will be.
The happenings around Barr. Ossai has spiritual anchorage. Those who are marshalling out forces to intervene between him and his destiny should be careful.
It is not just ordinary that a chap who grew up deprived of the close comfort and the shaping hands of his Mom is today the second most mentioned name after Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in Enugu State. Everything about Barr. Ossai, including his meteoric rise in politics has the stamp of Heaven.
His birthday is pregnant with good omens. He is a ‘descendant’ of the goddess, Isis, the Queen of the Throne. So, on May 29, 2023, he will acquire a new Birthday, after all, among the Egyptians, the day on which the King is crowned is his Second Birthday.
