A foremost women advocacy group under the aegis of Stand Up For Woman Society (SWS) after observing the humanitarian activities of Ikechukwu Ezeugwu Foundation from a distance for several years in human empowerment; scholarship awards and poverty alleviation projects spreading across the five states of the South East Region, paid the Founder of the Foundation "a thank you visit" at his Enugu office to commend his numerous contributions towards uplifting lives through his humanitarian programmes in Nigeria and to interact with him
on possible collaborations with their organisation.
The leadership of Stand Up For Woman Group in Enugu under the chairmanship of Mina Adaobi Ukaobasi who led the delegation to Ikechukwu Ezeugwu Foundation on the 20th of October, 2022 appreciated his numerous humanitarian efforts in extending scholarships to intelligent but economically disadvantaged undergraduates and several human empowerments through his Foundation's strategic philanthropy.
While responding to newsmen, the FountainCare Reporters Correspondents gathered that Ukaobasi applauded the foundation's efforts and expressively dissected their organisation's objectives, hence the need for partnership. "Stand Up For Woman Society, SWS, is a unique group for women, with aims and objectives targeted at total development of Nigerian Women and society at large. SWS focuses on galvanizing support and drawing attention to total development of our women in the society, involve women in policy making and also full participation in governance at every level, give responsibilities, roles and voice to our women at all levels; local, state and national. We play active roles as a forum to liberate and actualize the rights of women to fill the missing gap for active grassroots-based forum for women in the community and the nation. SWS spotted Ikechukwu Ezeugwu Foundation’s genuine humanitarian mission and we are here to applaud him, encourage him to continue the good work and to work out possible ways of partnering with his Foundation" Ukaobasi posited.
Appreciating the Stand Up For Woman Society SWS, Hon. Ikechukwu Ezeugwu thanked the civil society organisation for acknowledging the foundation’s efforts and identifying with them. He went further to stress on the need for other organisations to join forces in empowering Nigerian citizens, as this will go a long way to ameliorating the unsatisfactory living standards of our people. He pledged his foundation’s commitment to continue to extend their humanitarian mission to other states in the Southeast and their intentions to spread it across the entire country in the nearest future.
