The Federal College of Education, Okene, Kogi State, has confirmed the receipt of ₦5,307,000 from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the 2025/2026 academic session.
In a confirmation and commendation letter dated July 31, 2026, the Provost of the institution, Dr. Ibrahim Ismaila Mosmabale, acknowledged that the funds were released for a total of 90 students of the college.
The Provost commended NELFUND and its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer for what he described as a successful take-off of the student loan programme, expressing optimism that its operations would contribute to renewing the objectives of Nigeria’s educational system.
The institution also expressed appreciation for the disbursement and looked forward to maintaining a continued cordial relationship with NELFUND.
The development represents another intervention through the student loan scheme aimed at easing financial pressure on beneficiaries and supporting students to continue their education without being forced out of school by financial constraints.
