Alongside other voters, party faithful, and political leaders, the Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai, has cast his vote in the ongoing Enugu State Local Government Election.
Barr. Ossai cast his vote at his polling unit at Universal Primary School, Urukpa Ward, Ezimo, Udenu Local Government Area.
Speaking shortly after casting his vote, the Deputy Governor expressed confidence and optimism that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would emerge victorious across the 17 local government areas and 260 wards where the election is taking place.
He commended the electorate for turning out in large numbers to exercise their civic responsibility and applauded voters for maintaining a peaceful, orderly, and civil atmosphere throughout the voting process.
Barr. Ossai also urged the people to remain peaceful and law-abiding as the electoral process continues, stressing that the collective will of the people, expressed through their votes, remains the foundation of democratic governance.
"With voters turning out peacefully to exercise their franchise, Enugu State has once again demonstrated that democracy thrives when citizens participate actively, peacefully, and responsibly in choosing those who will represent them at the grassroots," Barr. Ossai said
