The Enugu State Government, through the Enugu State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), is intensifying its intervention in critical public institutions as part of Governor Peter Mbah’s administration’s Smart Communities, Smart Projects Initiative, with the Nigeria Law School (NLS), Agbani Campus, set to benefit from improved access to potable water and other key infrastructure.
The development followed a working visit to the Nigeria Law School, Agbani, by the General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of the Enugu State CSDA, Hon. Monday Diamond Ani, alongside the Attorney General of Enugu State, Barr. Osinachi Nnajieze, and the Senior Personal Assistant to the Governor on PDI, Hon. Prince Uche Nwatu.
The delegation was received by the Deputy Director-General and Head of Campus, Nigeria Law School, Agbani, Dr. Polycarp Okeke.
A major focus of the intervention is the provision of more constant access to potable water for the institution, particularly through the development and rehabilitation of borehole facilities. The initiative is expected to provide significant relief to students and staff while strengthening the overall learning and living environment at the Law School.
Beyond water supply, the Enugu State Government is also pursuing other intervention projects at the Agbani campus, including the provision of toilets and the construction of an ultra-modern Conference Centre, among other critical infrastructure.
The interventions reflect Governor Peter Mbah’s commitment to ensuring that development reaches communities and institutions across the state, with projects targeted at addressing real needs and improving the quality of life of residents, students and other beneficiaries.
For students and prospective students of the Nigeria Law School, Agbani, the development represents renewed hope that essential facilities required for a conducive academic environment are receiving the attention they deserve.
Dr. Polycarp Okeke expressed delight at the visit and the planned interventions, conveying optimism and appreciation for the attention being given to the needs of the institution.
The CSDA described the intervention as another demonstration of Governor Mbah’s intentional approach to development, where infrastructure is designed to produce tangible benefits for communities and institutions.
With improved water availability and additional projects in the pipeline, the outlook for the Nigeria Law School, Agbani, is becoming increasingly brighter, reinforcing the vision of a smarter, better-served and more functional Enugu State.
The development has also earned commendation for Governor Peter Mbah for prioritising practical interventions capable of directly impacting the daily lives of beneficiaries.
