The Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Enugu State, Hon. Amb. Peace Patrick, has felicitated His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Abubakar, CFR, Etsu Nupe (Bagadozhi), on the occasion of his 74th birthday and the 23rd anniversary of his ascension to the revered Nupe throne.
In a congratulatory message, Amb. Peace Patrick described the milestone as an opportunity to celebrate the life, wisdom, statesmanship and distinguished service of the traditional ruler, noting his significant role in preserving cultural heritage and promoting peace and harmonious coexistence among the people.
According to her, the Etsu Nupe’s 23 years on the throne have demonstrated the enduring importance of wisdom, patience, statesmanship and service in traditional leadership.
She noted that traditional institutions carry responsibilities that transcend generations, stressing that the stewardship of the Etsu Nupe has continued to affirm the vital role of traditional rulers as custodians of identity, culture, history and communal values.
“Your years upon the throne have demonstrated the enduring value of wisdom, patience, statesmanship and service. You have remained an important voice in the preservation of our cultural heritage and in the promotion of harmony and peaceful coexistence among our people,” she stated.
Amb. Peace Patrick further acknowledged the honour and dignity with which the Etsu Nupe has carried the responsibilities entrusted to him, joining countless Nigerians in celebrating his life and contributions to the Nupe Kingdom and Nigeria at large.
She prayed Almighty God to grant the monarch continued good health, renewed strength, sound mind and many more years of impactful service.
She also prayed that his reign would continue to bring honour to the Nupe people while contributing to peace, unity and the advancement of Nigeria.
“Happy 74th Birthday, Your Royal Highness, and congratulations on 23 remarkable years on the Nupe throne. May your years ahead be even more fruitful, fulfilling and memorable,” Amb. Peace Patrick said.
The APC Enugu State Deputy Chairman concluded by wishing the revered monarch continued wisdom, strength and fulfilment as he leads the Nupe people and preserves the rich heritage entrusted to his care.
