The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has received a fresh boost in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area following a strategic engagement led by Chief (Dr.) Nweke Kingsley Chizoba, Odaa Opuo 1 Na Ana-Igbo, the party’s Senatorial Candidate for Enugu East Senatorial District.
Odaa Opuo, accompanied by HRM Igwe DonSylvester Nweke, the Ishi 1 of Ishi-Ozalla, and Hon. Prince S.E. Ogbodo, Director of the movement, met with the PDP leadership, Local Government and Ward Executives across the 11 wards of Isi-Uzo, alongside other stakeholders.
Also present was Hon. Mrs. Joy Ifeoma Nwagbara, Zonal PDP Woman Leader, Enugu East Senatorial District.
Addressing the gathering, Odaa Opuo called for unity, discipline and effective grassroots mobilisation, urging party executives to strengthen their ward and polling-unit structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He also explained his “Anyiejebego” philosophy as a commitment to inclusion, justice, participation, responsibility and service, stressing that it must translate into practical action for the benefit of the people.
Odaa Opuo further urged the Isi-Uzo PDP family to support Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji (Nwakaibie), the party’s gubernatorial candidate, describing the 2027 election as an opportunity for the PDP to provide Enugu State with a renewed direction and people-oriented leadership.
The engagement ended with a renewed call for grassroots unity and coordinated mobilisation towards PDP victory in 2027.
