Enugu State is intensifying efforts to transform its fashion industry into a stronger economic engine, with stakeholders gathering at the Enugu Fashion Roundtable to explore policies, partnerships and practical interventions capable of accelerating growth across the sector.
The roundtable brought together key players within the fashion ecosystem to examine how Enugu can better support designers, producers and other creative entrepreneurs while creating an environment where talent can translate into sustainable businesses, jobs and wider economic opportunities.
Under the leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the State is backing the vision through the Enugu MSME & Startup Agency (Enugu SME Center), with interventions spanning skills development, access to finance, market opportunities and production support through the Enugu Garment Factory.
The broader objective is to build a connected fashion ecosystem where emerging talents have the tools to grow, enterprises can scale and Enugu-made fashion brands can gain visibility and compete beyond the State.
With the right support, the fashion sector can become more than a creative outlet—it can serve as a major platform for job creation, entrepreneurship, manufacturing and economic growth in Enugu.
The initiative reflects the State's broader commitment to developing its creative economy and ensuring that local talent has the opportunity to become enterprise and enterprise the capacity to create lasting impact.
From talent to enterprise. From Enugu to the world.
