The Enugu Job Centre, an initiative of the Enugu MSME & Startup Agency (Enugu SME Centre), has facilitated the placement of more than 5,000 young people into employment in the last quarter, reinforcing the state’s growing efforts to bridge the gap between jobseekers and employers.
The Centre, established to connect residents with credible employment opportunities while equipping them with practical skills required in today’s labour market, is providing a one-stop platform where jobseekers can access employment, career development and entrepreneurship support.
The initiative caters to a wide range of people, including fresh graduates, unemployed youths, experienced professionals seeking new opportunities, artisans and individuals interested in acquiring marketable skills.
Through the Enugu Job Centre, registered jobseekers can access verified job vacancies, job matching, referrals and placement services, as well as professional CV review and writing, career guidance, interview preparation and other employability support.
The Centre also provides recruitment services that connect employers with suitable candidates, alongside practical training and skills-development opportunities designed to improve participants’ competitiveness in the labour market.
For aspiring entrepreneurs, the Centre offers business-development support aimed at helping individuals transform their ideas and skills into sustainable sources of income.
The latest placement figure highlights the growing impact of the initiative, with more than 5,000 young people reportedly connected to jobs within the last quarter alone. The development underscores the administration’s broader focus on creating pathways that move young people from skills acquisition to employment and ultimately to sustainable income.
The Enugu Job Centre is therefore urging jobseekers not to remain at home waiting for opportunities but to take deliberate steps by registering on the Enugu Jobs platform and accessing the support available.
Interested persons can register through www.enugujobs.ng or contact the Centre on 07036596085 or 08142590543. Enquiries can also be sent to info@enugujobs.ng.
For those who prefer face-to-face assistance, the Centre is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at No. 2A Market Garden Avenue, opposite SME Roundabout, Ebeano Tunnel, GRA, Enugu.
The initiative forms part of the employment and economic empowerment drive of the administration of Enugu State Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, with a focus on creating pathways from skills to jobs, jobs to income and income to shared prosperity.
With thousands already connected to employment opportunities, the Enugu Job Centre is positioning itself as a key bridge between talent and opportunity in the state.
For many jobseekers in Enugu, the next opportunity could begin with a simple registration.
