The Wife of the Enugu State Governor, Mrs. Nkechinyere Iheoma Mbah, through her foundation, Custos Care Foundation, has celebrated the safe delivery of a newborn at the Nchatancha Health Centre, extending support to the mother and her family under the Mama Care Initiative.
The foundation joined the family in celebrating the joyful arrival of the baby following the safe delivery of Mrs. Eneje Ogechukwu, describing the moment as a beautiful reminder of the importance of supporting mothers and families during significant milestones.
The arrival of the newborn brought excitement and happiness to the family as they began a new chapter together.
To mark the occasion and provide practical support to the new mother, Mrs. Eneje Ogechukwu and her family received a Mama Care Pack containing essential baby items, alongside a freshly prepared meal from the Mama Care Kitchen.
The intervention forms part of the Mama Care Initiative, which seeks to provide practical support to mothers and families while promoting dignity and wellbeing around childbirth.
Speaking on the gesture, Mrs. Mbah emphasised the importance of standing with families during the early stages of a child's life and ensuring that mothers and newborns receive the care and support they deserve.
