The General Manager of Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) Enugu State Hon Monday Diamond Ani has made a bold statement concerning water in Enugu State.
Mr Diamond made this statement during the historic Enugu Water Sustainability Summit 2026,a water sustainability programme organized by the Enugu State
Ministry of Water Resources,under the auspices of its Commissioner Hon Ben Collins Ndu Jnr, a strategic engagements with some stakeholders, civil liberty groups,youth leaders, students and so on,
the CSDA GM who was one of the special guests,during his speech,made the participants understand the efforts of Enugu State Government under the Leadership of Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in providing potable drinking water to the tune of 120 Million litres to Ndi Enugu on daily basis, achieving over 800 per cent increase in Daily Water Provision in Enugu.
A record worthy of commendation to the Governor owing to the fact that Enugu is not a riverine State yet the Government provides such quantum millions of litres of water on daily basis in Enugu.
According to him, this achievement is different from the multiple Rural Community Water Interventions/Projects His Excellency the Governor is carrying out through the CSDA to cushion the effects of Water scarcity in Enugu State.
Hon Monday Diamond Ani commended the Convener Hon Ben Collins Ndu Jnr for his proactiveness and exemplary role as the Commissioner for Water Resources Enugu State and also, for conceiving such a noble idea towards engaging critical stakeholders in creating necessary awareness on Water sustainability in Enugu State.
The Water sustainability summit 2026 had the presence of His Excellency Dr Peter Mbah the Executive Governor of Enugu State ably represented by Prof Chidiebere Onyia the SSG Enugu State, Sen Ben Collins Ndu Snr,some Government Officials (Elected and Appointed), and so on.
