There was jubilation across the Enugu State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the State Women Leader, Hon. Amb. Peace Patrick, and Member 4 of the Enugu State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Amaka Nweke, officially reconciled after a prolonged face-off that had generated concerns within the party's women's wing.

The reconciliation meeting, held in a warm and convivial atmosphere, marked a significant turning point in the efforts to restore unity and harmony among women leaders of the ruling party in Enugu State.

The peace process was successfully facilitated by Hon. Ego Ajah, Member 3 of the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB), whose intervention was widely described as timely and divinely inspired.

The disagreement between the two prominent women leaders had, over time, created tension within the PDP women's structure and attracted public attention, with many party faithful expressing concern over its potential impact on the unity and cohesion of the party.

However, the reconciliation has now ushered in a new era of understanding and cooperation, as both Hon. Amb. Peace Patrick and Hon. Amaka Nweke agreed to put aside their differences and work together in the collective interest of the party and in support of the developmental agenda of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.

The meeting attracted several top party officials and stakeholders, including the State Party Chairman, Hon. Dr. Sir Martin Chukwunweike, the PDP Zonal Chairman of Enugu East Senatorial Zone, and other notable women leaders from across the state, all of whom expressed joy and relief over the restoration of peace within the women's wing.

Speaking during the gathering, Dr. Chukwunweike commended both women for demonstrating maturity, humility, and leadership by embracing reconciliation. He also praised Hon. Ego Ajah for her efforts in bringing the two leaders together, describing her as a vessel used by God to restore peace, unity, and strength to the PDP family in Enugu State.

In her remarks, Hon. Ego Ajah thanked God for granting her the grace to successfully mediate the reconciliation and urged women within the party to close ranks, rebuild trust, and channel their collective energies toward strengthening the party and supporting Governor Peter Mbah's transformative administration.

The event ended on a joyful note as Hon. Amb. Peace Patrick and Hon. Amaka Nweke embraced each other and pledged to work hand-in-hand for the progress of Enugu State, the empowerment of women, and the continued growth and dominance of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state's political landscape.

Party members and stakeholders described the reconciliation as a testament to the enduring spirit of the PDP family, which remains anchored on dialogue, love, forgiveness, and a shared commitment to peace and progress.
