The Management of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) Teaching Hospital, Parklane, Enugu, has issued a public appeal seeking the family and relatives of an unidentified man who passed away after being admitted to the hospital's Accident and Emergency Unit.
According to a public notice released by the management, the deceased, before his demise, identified himself as Mkpume John and stated that he was from Ebonyi State.
The hospital disclosed that the man was brought to the Accident and Emergency Unit under circumstances that remain unclear, and despite efforts to ascertain his identity and contact his family members, no relative has come forward.
In the notice, the management appealed to members of the public who may have useful information regarding the deceased or know his family members to urgently contact the hospital.
The statement reads:
"The Management of ESUT Teaching Hospital wishes to inform the general public that an unidentified male (picture attached) was brought to the Accident and Emergency Unit of the hospital. Before he passed away, he identified himself as Mkpume John from Ebonyi State.
Any person with useful information that may help locate his family or relatives is kindly requested to contact the Hospital Public Relations Office (PRO) on 08059238136.
We truly appreciate your cooperation."
The management of the teaching hospital expressed optimism that the public notice would help trace the deceased's family and enable them to claim his remains and make necessary arrangements.
