Stakeholders of Eha-Amufu West Development Centre in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State have made a passionate and humble appeal to Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, seeking greater fairness and inclusiveness in the political arrangement of the council area. In an open letter addressed to the Governor, the group commended his leadership and development strides across Enugu State, while gently drawing attention to what they described as prolonged political underrepresentation of their area, urging a more balanced and equitable consideration in the zoning and distribution of key political offices within Isi-Uzo LGA.
Your Excellency,
Barr. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah,
Executive Governor of Enugu State,
Lion Building, Government House,
Enugu State.
Dear Your Excellency,
A Humble Appeal for Equity, Inclusion, and Fair Representation in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area
We write with utmost respect, deep admiration, and sincere appreciation for your visionary leadership and transformational governance in Enugu State. Your administration has continued to inspire hope across communities through massive infrastructural development, improved security architecture, educational reforms, healthcare revitalization, economic expansion, and your unwavering commitment to inclusive governance.
Indeed, Your Excellency, history will remain kind to your administration for the boldness, competence, and uncommon leadership excellence you have brought into governance. Across the state, Ndi Enugu proudly testify to the emergence of a new era driven by development, merit, peace, and purposeful leadership. Your government has restored confidence in public service and rekindled the hopes of many communities that had long yearned for fairness and progress.
It is upon this foundation of justice, fairness, and inclusive leadership that we, the peace-loving people of Eha-Amufu West Development Centre in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area, humbly appeal to your fatherly intervention regarding the political arrangements and distribution of leadership positions within our local government.
Your Excellency, we make this appeal not out of bitterness, entitlement, or confrontation, but from a sincere desire for balance, unity, and equitable participation among the various development centres that make up Isi-Uzo LGA.
A careful observation of the present political structure within Isi-Uzo reveals a pattern that calls for thoughtful reconsideration in the interest of fairness and political harmony.
Presently:
The State House of Assembly position has been zoned to Amanyi Development Centre in favour of Hon. Augustine Nnamani.
The Federal House of Representatives seat has been zoned to Eha-Amufu East Development Centre in favour of His Excellency, Barr. Chijioke Edeoga.
The Commissioner position is currently occupied by Isi-Uzo Central Development Centre.
The current Local Government Chairman also comes from Eha-Amufu East Development Centre.
In practical terms, major political positions within Isi-Uzo have already been distributed among other development centres, while Eha-Amufu West Development Centre remains without any significant political office within the local government structure for over six years.
Your Excellency, the essence of zoning and political balancing is to foster inclusion, strengthen unity, and ensure that every section of society feels carried along in governance. When a particular bloc continuously remains outside the circle of political participation, feelings of exclusion naturally begin to emerge, even among the most peaceful and loyal stakeholders.
For the sake of clarity and objective reflection:

Your Excellency, we ask with humility and sincerity: are we not still part of Isi-Uzo Local Government Area? Are we not brothers and stakeholders in the collective destiny of our dear local government?
We ask these questions not to provoke division, but to express the silent pain and growing concerns of a people who have remained peaceful, loyal, and supportive despite prolonged political exclusion.
As the popular Igbo proverb says, “Eme nwata ka emere ibe ya obi adị ya mma” when a child sees fairness done to another, his heart is at peace. Equity creates harmony, strengthens loyalty, and deepens unity.
We firmly believe that zoning the forthcoming Isi-Uzo Local Government Chairmanship position to Eha-Amufu West Development Centre would not only restore confidence and balance but would also reinforce your administration’s enduring legacy as one built on justice, fairness, and inclusive governance.
Your Excellency, this appeal is drawn from both the immediate past political arrangements and the present realities within Isi-Uzo. We stand to be corrected where necessary, as our intention remains constructive, peaceful, and centered on the greater unity and political stability of Isi-Uzo Local Government Area.
We therefore passionately and respectfully plead with you, as a father to all, to graciously consider Eha-Amufu West Development Centre for the next Isi-Uzo Local Government Chairmanship position.
May God continue to grant you wisdom, strength, and good health as you continue your remarkable service to Enugu State and humanity.
God bless Your Excellency.
God bless Isi-Uzo Local Government Area.
God bless Enugu State.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Concerned Stakeholders and Peace-Loving People of Eha-Amufu West Development Centre, Isi-Uzo Local Government Area."
