The people of Oduma in Aninri Local Government Area have pledged total support to the administration of Governor Peter Mbah, noting that competence and accountability would be their guiding principles during the next general elections.

Speaking during a prayer meeting at Amagu Oduma, the people appealed to one of their sons, who is also the Town Union President General of the community, Comr. Christian Onyeabochukwu, to seek an elective position in the coming 2027 election.

They stated that the appeal became necessary considering the leadership qualities of Comr. Christian Onyeabochukwu, describing him as a man with great potential, who can be likened to Gov. Peter Mbah in terms of leadership qualities.

One of them, Dr. Denis Ogbonna, and Mr. Chukwu Emmanuel Ikechukwu said the people of Oduma would only support those who show capacity in leadership and called on stakeholders in Aninri and beyond to prevail on Comr. Christian Onyeabochukwu to show interest in an elective position in the 2027 election cycle.

A woman leader in the area, Mrs. Francisca Onyeabor, and an expert in political mobilisation, Mr. James Njokuaba, said they are prepared to mobilise massively in support of Comr. Onyeabochukwu's political aspiration.

Responding, Comr. Christian Onyeabochukwu, who is the President General of Amagu Oduma Autonomous Community, thanked the Oduma community for the leadership qualities they saw in him that necessitated the patriotic call for him to join the 2027 race. Continuing, he promised to consider the appeal to vie for an elective position by his people after wide consultation with critical stakeholders.

Comr. Christian Onyeabochukwu, who has held several elective and appointive positions since 2019, promised to bring transformative governance if given the opportunity to serve.

The highlight of the event was the donation of huge amounts of money in support of the call for him to join the 2027 race and the presentation of "Ofor" to Comr. Onyeabochukwu, symbolising total support and authority from the people.
