Ugwuanyi Donates Drugs Worth Millions to Nsukka Hospital for Free Medical Outreach

Former Enugu State Governor, Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has once again reaffirmed his commitment to humanitarian service with the donation of pharmaceutical drugs worth millions of naira to on April 18.

The donation, regarded as a significant health intervention, is aimed at providing free medical treatment to residents of and neighboring communities, particularly targeting vulnerable groups such as the poor, widows, and orphans who are unable to afford healthcare services.

Sources indicate that the drugs will be used to treat common but often expensive medical conditions, including hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), among other related ailments.

The outreach programme is expected to benefit hundreds of residents, who are encouraged to visit the hospital located along Edem Road in Nsukka to access free medical consultations, tests, and medications.

Organisers of the initiative emphasized that the exercise is strictly for indigent individuals, reiterating the importance of accessible healthcare under the guiding principle that “health is wealth.”
