In a calculated move aimed at strengthening regional party cohesion, Peter Obi convened his first strategic meeting with the newly elected South East Chairmen of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Enugu on April 21, 2026.
The meeting marks an early but deliberate effort by the ADC presidential aspirant to consolidate party structures across the South East geopolitical zone, focusing on unity, leadership alignment, and grassroots mobilization.
Discussions at the gathering centered on strengthening internal party democracy, harmonizing operations across states, and positioning the ADC as a viable alternative within Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.
Among those in attendance was the Enugu State Chairman-elect, Prof. Uchenna Augustine Akubue, alongside chairmen from Imo, Abia, Anambra, and Ebonyi States—highlighting a coordinated regional push toward discipline, stability, and strategic political consolidation.
