The Chairman of the Enugu State Persons with Disabilities Commission, Eze Jude Chuka, has paid glowing tribute to women with disabilities across Enugu State as the world marks International Women’s Day.
In a message commemorating the global celebration, the chairman applauded the courage, resilience, and achievements of women with disabilities in the state, describing them as symbols of strength whose determination continues to inspire society.
Eze Jude Chuka emphasized that despite the challenges many women with disabilities face, their perseverance and contributions remain invaluable to the development of communities and the advancement of inclusive governance in Enugu State.
He further reaffirmed the commitment of the commission under his leadership to ensuring that women with disabilities are not left behind in the quest for social inclusion, equal opportunities, and protection of rights.
The chairman also expressed profound appreciation to the wife of the governor, Nkechinyere Mbah, and the Honourable Commissioner for Gender Affairs and Social Development, Ngozi Enih, for their continued support and dedication toward improving the welfare of persons with disabilities in the state.
He noted that their support has strengthened ongoing efforts aimed at promoting inclusion, empowerment, and dignity for persons living with disabilities across Enugu.
Eze Jude Chuka maintained that the commission would continue to advocate policies and programs that protect the rights of women with disabilities while creating enabling opportunities that allow them to thrive, lead, and achieve their full potential.

“Today, on International Women’s Day, I celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of women with disabilities across Enugu State. Your courage and determination inspire and remind us that disability does not limit greatness.
“As Chairman of Enugu State Persons with Disabilities Commission, I will ensure that we create opportunities and prioritise the protection of the rights of every woman with a disability in Enugu State.
“I humbly extend my heartfelt appreciation to Her Excellency Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, the First Lady of Enugu State, and the Honourable Commissioner for Gender Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Enih, for their unwavering support and love for persons with disabilities in our dear state.
