In a renewed push to empower the workforce and unlock economic opportunities, thousands of youths and women in are set to benefit from a large-scale capacity-building programme under the Renewed Hope agenda of .

The initiative, known as the 10 Million Nigerian Youths & Women Upskilling Programme, is being implemented through in collaboration with key partners, and aligns with the human capital development vision of Governor .

According to the , the programme offers free, globally relevant, CPD-accredited training designed to equip participants with practical and market-driven skills needed to thrive in today’s competitive economy.

Participants will receive training across diverse high-impact sectors, including technology and digital skills, business and entrepreneurship, hospitality and tourism, creative arts and design, skilled trades and engineering, healthcare and wellness, as well as personal and leadership development.

The initiative is expected to enhance employability, support entrepreneurship, and improve productivity, while also opening access to global opportunities for participants. Organisers describe it as more than just a training programme, noting that it is a strategic platform for certification, empowerment, and inclusive economic growth.

Stakeholders have urged youths, women, artisans, and aspiring entrepreneurs across the state’s 17 local government areas to seize the opportunity by registering promptly.
