...Celebrate His Transformative Impact, Generosity, Vision, and Dedication to Welfare of the People
The Nkanu Youths Organization (NYO) has poured glowing tributes on the Founder and Chairman of the Odera Helping Hands Foundation, Chief Samson Chukwu Nnamani, as he marked his birthday, describing him as a “beacon of hope and a rare gift to humanity.”
The heartfelt birthday message was conveyed in a statement issued by the Global President of NYO, Comrade Dikachukwu David, in Enugu in the early hours of Monday, February 17, 2026.
In the statement, the youth body extolled Chief Nnamani—popularly known as “Odera”, for his unwavering commitment to uplifting the vulnerable, empowering young people, and restoring dignity to struggling families across Enugu State and beyond.
According to Comrade Dikachukwu, the celebrant has, through the foundation, consistently demonstrated that true leadership is rooted in compassion, sacrifice, and service to humanity.
He noted that the Odera Helping Hands Foundation has become synonymous with hope, especially for indigent patients and underprivileged communities. In May 2025 alone, the foundation reportedly cleared approximately ₦10 million in medical bills for indigent patients at the Enugu State University Teaching Hospital (ESUTH) and the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu, an intervention NYO described as “a lifesaving gesture that restored smiles to families on the brink of despair.”
The youth organization also highlighted the foundation’s transformative community development efforts, particularly in Akpafu community, where it facilitated electricity access for the first time in the village’s history. Beyond electrification, the foundation distributed over 1,000 bags of rice and noodles to tackle food insecurity and donated motorcycles to local youth to enhance mobility and economic productivity.
NYO further applauded Chief Nnamani’s steadfast investment in youth empowerment, noting that the foundation has supported skill acquisition initiatives and provided financial backing to help young people in Nkanu create jobs and reduce unemployment. The group described these interventions as strategic steps toward building a self-reliant and economically vibrant generation.
In the areas of education and environmental sustainability, the foundation has continued to provide scholarships and educational materials to deserving students while promoting conservation and environmentally friendly practices, efforts the youth body said reflect a holistic vision for development.
Comrade Dikachukwu emphasized that Chief Nnamani’s philanthropic footprints are not merely acts of charity but enduring legacies that will outlive generations. He described the OHHF founder as “a compassionate leader whose birthday is not just a personal milestone but a celebration of impact, humanity, and service.”
“As you mark another year,” the statement read in part, “the Nkanu Youths Organization celebrates your generosity, your vision, and your tireless dedication to the welfare of our people. May your new age usher in greater strength, expanded reach, and even more transformative accomplishments.”
The youth body concluded by praying for good health, wisdom, and continued success for the philanthropic leader, reaffirming its appreciation for his consistent support for Nkanu youths and the broader Enugu community.
