The Igbo-Eze South Local Government is thrilled to announce yet another round of massive educational empowerment scheme, offering FREE JAMB and WAEC registrations for over 6,000 students. This transformative initiative is a key part of the council’s Progress Agenda subsumed under the "Tomorrow Is Here" vision of the Executive Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah  aimed at breaking the chains of financial hardship and opening the doors of university education to every deserving youth in our community.

The programme is a multi-stakeholder effort designed to remove financial barriers for indigent students, encouraging academic pursuit within the local government area. The sponsorship breakdown includes:

Over 4,000 JAMB Registrations: Sponsored directly by the Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area for students indigenous and within the council.

All Female JAMB Candidates: In a major push for gender-inclusive education, the First Lady of Enugu State, Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechinyere I. Mbah, is sponsoring all female candidates through her signature Custos Care Foundation.

All WAEC Candidates: The JRB Foundation, founded by Alh. Jimoh Rauf Badamosi, CEO of JRB Solar Investment Limited, has stepped in to cover the registration costs for all WAEC candidates in the LGA.

Speaking on the initiative, the Executive Chairman of Igbo-Eze South and Deputy Chairman of ALGON Enugu State, Barr. Ugo Ferdinand Ukwueze noted that the gesture is a direct reflection of the administration’s Progress Agenda which aligns with His Excellency’s, Governor Peter Mbah's vision to make education accessible to every child in Enugu, regardless of their economic background.

"By removing the burden of registration fees, we are ensuring that no child in Igbo-Eze South LGA is left behind in the journey toward higher education," Ukwueze stated.
