The Enugu State Government under His Excellency, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah is driving a digital transformation agenda that has prioritised investments in infrastructure and capacity development.

The state government is apparently committed to harnessing technology to build a smarter and globally competitive workforce.

Governor Mbah understanding that technology plays a very crucial role in today’s business world, has focused on digital transformation of the economy to enhance efficiency and transparency in governance, service delivery, promoting innovation, citizen engagement and building a responsive public service.

In line with his disruptive innovation and commitment to transforming Enugu into a tech-driven economy, digital skills acquisition has now been made mandatory for civil service promotions across the state. The state is poised for a Tech- driven Civil Service.

Evidently, Mbah's administration has demonstrated Its commitment to workforce development by investing in digital training for public servants across the state. Through the Enugu SME Centre/Office of Digital Economy (Enugu MSME & Start-Up Agency), multiple skills training and acquisition have been rolled out and  many civil servants in the state have been equipped with digital skills in e-governance, e-service delivery, productivity and technical know -how across Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the government.

This initiative is  aimed  at  ensuring that the civil servants in the state remain relevant in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.  It is also  expected and indeed, have helped to drive economic growth, enhance public services delivery, and repositioning of the state for global competitiveness.

Obviously, governor Mbah is on the right track with his transformation agenda and he is evidently leveraging technology to drive socio-economic growth and development in Enugu State.

Indeed, Tomorrow Is Here!
