...Hails Gov Mbah's Giant Development Strides in Igbo-Eze North
...Says Gov Mbah’s Joining the APC is the Best Decision for the Overall Good of Ndi Enugu
A prominent federal government contractor and business mogul, Chief Dr. Chris Onyekachi Simon (Mkpuruoma De Don Chris), has formally completed his All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration, declaring strong support for Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s leadership and describing the governor’s decision to align with the APC as a bold and strategic move in the overall interest of Ndi Enugu.
The exercise took place on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Isiugwu Ozii, Umuozzi Ward 8, Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, where the APC’s ongoing e-registration drive was officially flagged off amid massive grassroots mobilization.
Chief Simon, who played a central role in flagging off the exercise, said Governor Mbah’s administration has delivered visible and impactful projects across Igbo-Eze North, noting that governance under the governor has been defined by pragmatism, results, and inclusive development. He maintained that the governor’s alignment with the APC presents the best opportunity to consolidate development gains and reposition Enugu State within the national political and economic framework.
According to him, the entire Umuozzi Ward 8 had been fully mobilized ahead of the exercise, resulting in a significant turnout of residents registering into the party. He expressed confidence that the momentum would continue, assuring that the number of APC members in the area would increase steadily in the coming days.
“The Mbah-led administration has bequeathed projects worth billions of naira to Igbo-Eze North. We can boldly tell the Governor today that APC is the only political party in our local government. From now going forward, we shall ensure massive registration that will guarantee a landslide victory for APC ahead of 2027,” Chief Simon stated.
The event was witnessed by the Chairman of Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Michael Uchenna Ogalla, alongside several appointees of the council chairman. In his remarks, Hon. Ogalla warmly welcomed the delegation from Government House led by the Political Adviser to the Governor, High Chief Hon. Frank Anioma Ezesinachi, and commended the governor’s transformative interventions across the council area.
“I make bold to say that Governor Peter Mbah’s administration has left indelible legacies in Igbo-Eze North. These projects speak for themselves, and we are confident that continuity under the APC will further accelerate development in our communities,” the council chairman said.
Chief Simon also expressed gratitude to Governor Mbah for appointing an action-driven council chairman who, according to him, has justified the confidence reposed in him. He added that the visible achievements of the council chairman would earn him a return ticket in due time.
Addressing the gathering, High Chief Hon. Frank Anioma Ezesinachi, alongside SSA on Youth Mobilization (North), Hon. Jude Amunabor, and SA on Grassroots Mobilization, Hon. Chukwuemeka Ojobo, urged residents to seize the opportunity provided by the e-registration window to formally identify with the APC. They emphasized that the registration exercise was critical to building a formidable, united, and people-driven party structure from the grassroots.
High Chief Anioma further highlighted the state government’s Smart Green Schools initiative, encouraging parents to enroll their children, stressing that beneficiaries would enjoy free tuition, uniforms, and learning materials from nursery to Junior Secondary School 3. He described the initiative as one of the far-reaching social investments of the Mbah administration designed to expand access to quality education.
The APC Caretaker Chairman in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, Hon. Solomon Ogili PhD, the APC Woman Leader in Enugu North Senatorial District, Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Ezeja, and several other party leaders, including Dr. Mrs. Oby Aji (Woman Jagaban), Hon. Odeze Ujah, Hon. Abugu Sampson, and community leaders, took turns to mobilize and persuade the audience to key into the party’s growth drive.
The event attracted a wide array of political leaders, government officials, party stakeholders, women, youths, and community representatives, reflecting growing grassroots enthusiasm for the APC in Igbo-Eze North.
