The political atmosphere in Enugu State has remained solemn following the death of Senator Okey Ezea (Ideke), the distinguished lawmaker representing Enugu North Senatorial District, who reportedly passed away in London after a prolonged illness on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
Adding his voice to the wave of grief that has swept across the state, the Caretaker Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, Dr. Ben Nwoye, expressed deep sorrow over the senator’s demise. In a heartfelt condolence message, Dr. Nwoye described Senator Ezea as a principled leader whose life was defined by unwavering commitment to his people and the genuine pursuit of regional development.
He noted that Senator Ezea served with exceptional dedication, championing the welfare of the Enugu North constituency and consistently pushing for initiatives aimed at improving lives and opening opportunities for underrepresented communities.
