Rt. Hon. Paul Nnajiofor Hails Governor Peter Mbah’s Move to APC, Describes It as "A Thoughtful Step for Enugu’s Progress"

In the unfolding wave of political realignment across Enugu State, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Legislative Matters, Rt. Hon. Paul Nnajiofor, has commended His Excellency, Barr. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for his bold and forward-looking decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), a move he described as a critical alignment with the centre for the collective good of Ndi Enugu.

Speaking with newsmen in Enugu, Rt. Hon. Nnajiofor, a respected lawmaker, former Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, and one of the Governor’s closest political allies, said Governor Mbah’s decision reflects his deep sense of wisdom, foresight, and pragmatic leadership style, which continue to set him apart as a transformational leader in Nigeria’s political landscape.

According to Nnajiofor, the Governor’s choice was not born out of mere political expediency but from a sincere desire to unlock greater opportunities for Enugu State through constructive collaboration with the Federal Government. He noted that by aligning Enugu with the centre, Mbah has effectively positioned the state for enhanced development, investment attraction, and federal partnership in critical sectors such as infrastructure, energy, ainnovation.education and economic development etc

 “Governor Peter Mbah is a smart thinker and a visionary leader who doesn’t act on impulse. Every decision he makes is guided by deep reflection and genuine concern for the progress of Enugu State,” Nnajiofor said.

“This move to the APC is a thoughtful realignment, not for personal ambition, but for the collective advancement of our people. It is about bringing Enugu to the centre of national decision-making, where greater development opportunities lie.”

Rt. Hon. Nnajiofor further described the Governor as a leader ahead of his time one whose strategic insights and courage to take bold decisions have continued to earn him respect both within and beyond the state.

He emphasized that the Governor’s political direction embodies a renewed commitment to unity, progress, and inclusiveness, assuring that the people of Enugu will witness even greater transformation in governance, infrastructure, and economic development as the new political alignment takes root.

The former Legislator   urged Ndi Enugu to continue to support Governor Mbah with faith and confidence in his leadership, stressing that the Governor’s unwavering dedication to building a modern, prosperous Enugu remains steadfast.

 “I call on all Ndi Enugu both the elites and at the grassroots tto continue to rally behind our Governor in this journey of greatness. Governor Mbah has shown time and again that he means well for the people through his numerous achievements  in just 2 years in office . This is another bold step toward making Enugu the true pride of the South East,” he said.
