Enugu State is aglow with celebration today, October 21, 2025, as family, friends, colleagues, and admirers from across Nigeria and beyond unite to honour Dr. Mrs. Chiesonu Iziga-Eruchalu (PhD, CBA, NIM, FIIMCA) on the occasion of her birthday. Today marks not just another year in her life, but a celebration of a woman whose influence spans education, leadership, humanitarian service, and social transformation.
A proud daughter of Amube in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, Dr. Chiesonu has continued to make Enugu State proud through her inspiring achievements and selfless contributions to society. Her educational journey began at Community Primary School Etiti Ngwo, continued at Queens School Enugu and St. Cyprian’s Special Science School Nsukka, and later at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) where she obtained her first degree.
Her unrelenting pursuit of excellence took her beyond the shores of Nigeria to the International Business School Americas in São Paulo, Brazil, and to prestigious institutions such as the Nigerian Institute of Management and the African Society for Public Administrators. She is a Certified Business Administrator (CBA), a holder of a MasterClass Certificate in Innovation and Brand Building, and a Fellow of the Institute of Micro Credit Administrators (FIIMCA).
During her days at UNN, Dr. Chiesonu distinguished herself as a student leader, serving in the Faculty of Biological Sciences House of Representatives and chairing the publicity committee for a national student conference. Her leadership qualities were further evident during her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year in Ekiti State, where she taught, obtained a certificate in Event Management, and earned the title of “Star Student” of her class.
Today, she stands tall as the Managing Director of Glozig Enterprise, TConsult360, and Chieso Life Foundation (CLF) — organizations through which she has, for over a decade, provided professional services in consulting, branding, research, and human capital development. Through her foundation’s flagship project, the “Every Child Deserves Education Initiative,” she has tirelessly worked to remove barriers to education for underprivileged children across Nigeria.
A true leader and nation-builder, Dr. Chiesonu has also made her mark in politics as a former National Vice President of the Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), where she championed youth inclusion, women empowerment, and community development. She has presented constitutional amendment proposals before the Nigerian Senate and continues to lend her voice to national conversations on governance, gender equity, and security. Her insights have been featured on BBC Igbo, where she remains a respected voice on issues of national importance.
Beyond her professional and political life, Dr. Chiesonu is a humanitarian, public health consultant, social reformer, and serial entrepreneur, a woman whose compassion for humanity knows no bounds. Married and blessed with three children, she is affectionately called Agbanchala, Nwaejiejemba, Nnukwu Ada, Anyanwu na-etiri oha, and Beauty and Brains, names that capture her grace, intelligence, and generosity of spirit.
As she marks her birthday today, tributes have poured in from all corners, with many describing her as a shining star, a model of purposeful leadership, and a true daughter of Enugu whose life continues to inspire others.
Indeed, Dr. Mrs. Chiesonu Iziga-Eruchalu stands as a testament to the power of vision, education, and empathy, a woman whose story reminds us that leadership is not about titles, but about service and impact.
