Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area, in collaboration with the Office of the First Lady of Enugu State, H.E Mrs Nkechinyere Mbah , and Custos Care Foundation, is set to host the Mother and Child Wellness Initiative on Saturday 13 September 2025.
The initiative, themed “Nurturing Life, Empowering Mothers”, is designed to promote the health and wellbeing of mothers and children through preventive care, health education and community support. Its aim is to reduce maternal and child health risks while equipping women with the knowledge and resources to raise healthier families.
The event will take place at the Skill Acquisition Centre beside Timber Shade, Ibagwa-Aka, Igbo-Eze South LGA. It is open to nursing mothers and will feature medical personnel providing free health screenings and check-ups, nutrition awareness sessions, maternal health talks, counselling and referral services as well as practical demonstrations on newborn care and breastfeeding best practice.
The event promises to be an inspiring, impactful and transformative experience for all participants.
