BREAKING: Notorious Hausa Armed Gang Raids Over 20 Households In Enugu, Police Intercept Suspects With Bags of Stolen Phones and Laptops [Photos]......................

Residents of Nsukka have been thrown into a state of fear and shock following a wave of coordinated midnight robberies carried out on Sunday, 31st August, by a gang of suspected criminals said to have links to Mararaba, Nyanya, Abuja.

According to eyewitness reports, the gang struck first at Umuakashi area of Nsukka, beside the Catholic Church at Urban Girls Secondary School, where they successfully robbed no fewer than six (6) flats. From there, they proceeded to Ketochukwu Hospital axis, still within the Urban Girls area, where they broke into and looted another four (4) flats.

Not done, the marauders advanced to St. Theresa’s Road area of Nsukka, unleashing terror on unsuspecting residents as they robbed ten (10) more flats, making away with countless valuables. Shockingly, the entire operation was executed without resistance from local vigilantes, neighborhood watch, or even police patrols.

Their luck, however, ran out on their return journey. Police operatives from the Orokam Division, on stop-and-search duty at Orokam Junction along Obollo Afor Road, intercepted the criminals. During the search, three suspects were arrested with bags full of Android phones, laptops, and other gadgets.

The suspects, identified as Mujahid Mohammed (21), Yahaya Abdullahi (21), and Kalipha Mohammad (28), all residents of Mararaba, Nyanya, Abuja, were found in possession of a staggering haul: thirty-four (34) mobile phones of different brands, three (3) HP laptops, and two (2) MP3 players.

Upon interrogation, the suspects revealed chilling details, confessing that their ring leader, Abba Mohammed (27), a tiler and resident of Nsukka, masterminded the entire operation. Abba, who is presently at large, reportedly imported the others, housed them in an uncompleted building, supplied them with weapons, and personally guided them to the flats they attacked on the fateful night.

In the chaos of their arrest, Abba Mohammed allegedly escaped with their weapons, leaving his accomplices to face the law. His current whereabouts remain unknown, fueling tension across the community.

Residents of Nsukka now live in palpable fear as the shocking scale and organization of the robbery have exposed dangerous lapses in local security. Police have urged all victims of the 31st August attacks to visit the Area Command to identify and reclaim their stolen gadgets.

Meanwhile, the hunt for the fugitive gang leader, Abba Mohammed, continues.
