BREAKING: Enugu’s Ongoing Economic Boom!

“What Ndi Enugu owe Governor Mbah is their votes for a second tenure,”

– Hon. Dr. Chinedu Mbah (Dike Ejike Eje Mba) declared

"I must emphasize that, what Ndi Enugu owe Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah is their unwavering support and their votes for a second tenure. Only by returning him to office can we consolidate the gains already achieved and ensure that the vision of tomorrow being here with us is fully realized for generations to come.”

I therefore call on all sons and daughters of Enugu to rise to the occasion and secure the continuity of this transformational leadership. “Supporting Governor Mbah for a second tenure is not just a political decision, it is a moral obligation. It is the surest way to sustain the economic boom, protect the infrastructural development, and guarantee that Enugu State continues to rise as the pride of Nigeria and the beacon of hope for the South East,”.

The truth every Ndi Enugu must acknowledge is that His Excellency, Barr. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, has redefined governance and restored confidence in the power of leadership. Today, our dear state has become the shining light of the South East and the pride of the entire nation. The ongoing Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference is not only a legal gathering but a powerful statement to the world that Enugu is open for business, tourism, and global engagement. Thousands of lawyers and delegates have poured into the Coal City, and with them, they have brought hundreds of billions of naira in circulation within just a few days. This is a record-setting inflow never witnessed before in the history of Enugu State.

All across the state, the ripple effect is clear. Hotels are fully occupied, forcing some visitors to seek accommodation in neighbouring towns. Markets are overflowing with buyers; food vendors cannot meet the demand; and transport operators are smiling to the bank. Every sector of the economy is alive, vibrant, and full of activity. This kind of prosperity is not a coincidence, it is the direct result of deliberate planning, infrastructural development, and bold investments championed by Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.

Consider the completion of the world-class International Conference Centre (ICC), Enugu, which today is serving as the host venue for this monumental NBA Conference. That edifice stands as a testament that when Mbah promises, Mbah delivers. For decades, Enugu yearned for such a facility, but it took the courage, vision, and disruptive innovation of this Governor to bring it to reality.

Think also of the revival of Hotel Presidential, abandoned for over 20 years by past administrations. Through the ingenuity of Governor Mbah, that iconic hospitality centre has come back to life, welcoming guests from all over Nigeria and the world. It is now booming with activities, creating jobs, and repositioning Enugu as the true hospitality hub of the South East.

Governor Mbah’s vision is not limited to the capital city alone. Across the state, strategic projects are opening new frontiers. The dualization of the Ugwogo–Opi–Nsukka Road, for instance, is a landmark achievement that is unlocking the economic potential of the entire Enugu North Senatorial Zone. This road has already started boosting commerce, facilitating the movement of goods and services, and attracting investors to Nsukka and beyond.

The establishment of Enugu Air by Governor Peter Mbah stands as a historic achievement, being the first state-owned airline in Enugu State and the only one in the entire South-East region of Nigeria. This visionary initiative has not only positioned Enugu as a strategic aviation hub but has also opened up immense economic opportunities by boosting tourism, trade, and investment, creating jobs, and enhancing connectivity within and beyond the region. It is a bold step that underscores the Governor’s commitment to driving sustainable development and transforming Enugu into a gateway for growth and prosperity.

The commissioning of five ultramodern transport terminals and the introduction of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses further demonstrate the Governor’s commitment to modernity, environmental sustainability, and affordable mobility. Transporters are earning more, passengers are enjoying comfort, and the state is reducing its carbon footprint. This is governance at its finest.

Under Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Enugu has also witnessed an ease of doing business that has elevated our state into one of the most attractive investment destinations in the country. Investors are no longer hesitant to bring their resources here, because they see the sincerity, the vision, and the results-driven style of a Governor who came prepared.

Therefore, I make this clarion call to Ndi Enugu: this is not the time to relent, this is not the time to gamble with our future, this is not the time to derail the progress we have already achieved. The only way forward, the only guarantee that tomorrow will continue to be here with us, is to rally behind Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and return him to power for a second tenure.

This Governor is not just another political leader, he is the Messiah of our time, the architect of modern Enugu, and the light that is guiding us into a new dawn of prosperity. He has turned what was once impossible into tangible realities before our very eyes.

As I speak, Ndi Enugu, I say this with passion and conviction: “The votes of our people for Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s second tenure are not merely votes for a man; they are votes for continuity, for progress, for stability, and for a brighter tomorrow. It is our collective duty, our collective responsibility, and indeed, our collective moral obligation to ensure that this Governor is given the mandate again to finish the good work he has started.”

I am confident that victory is assured in 2027 as Ndi Enugu will rise to the call, defend their future, and return Barr. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah to office for a second tenure, so that Enugu can continue to shine as the true capital of development and hope in Nigeria.
