The Enugu tech and innovation ecosystem has announced a compelling opportunity for local founders to gain national recognition through the GITEX Nigeria 2025 Supernova Challenge — the country’s premier innovation and startup pitch competition.
As part of the GITEX Nigeria Regional Roadshow, the Southeast regional pitch event will be held in Enugu on July 15, 2025, where 15 of the most promising startups from across Enugu State will be selected to represent the state at the national finals in Lagos this September.
Organized by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) in collaboration with the Office for Nigerian Digital Innovation (ONDI), the Supernova Challenge is a central feature of GITEX Nigeria 2025, one of Africa’s largest gatherings of technology leaders, investors, startups, and innovators.
A Launchpad to the National Stage
Selected startups will:
Pitch at the Enugu Regional Pitch Event
Be featured before a national audience of accelerators, investors, and innovation leaders
Earn a chance to represent Enugu State at the Supernova finals in Lagos (Sept 3–4, 2025)
Join over 1,000 curated startups and 100+ global investors at Africa’s largest innovation showcase
Compete for the possibility to win as part of the $50,000 prize pool during the national pitch contest
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, startups must:
Be based in or operate from Enugu State
Have a working MVP (minimum viable product) or functional solution
Be prepared to pitch live in Enugu and travel to Lagos for the national event if selected
