The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu North Senatorial District has received a major boost as a former Commissioner for Housing in Enugu State, Hon. Barr. Peter Okonkwo (Ohamadike), donated a fully furnished duplex to serve as the party’s Zonal Office.
The former commissioner, who recently defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, was commended by party stakeholders for his generosity, commitment, and strong leadership credentials. The gesture is seen as a significant move in strengthening the party’s presence and activities across Enugu North Senatorial Zone.
In a statement jointly issued on behalf of the party’s leaders, zonal executives, and the entire APC faithful in the senatorial district, the party expressed heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Okonkwo, describing him as “dependable” and “a leader who knows the way and leads through the way.”
“It is obvious and clear, even to the blind, the deaf, and all critical stakeholders, that the APC has taken over every nook and cranny of Enugu North Senatorial Zone. The Lion Building is the next destination come 2027,” the statement read.
The party also extended its appreciation to the State Chairman of APC, Hon. Barr. Ugochukwu Agballa (Ebeanaje, Egwe Ndi Moles), for his capacity-driven leadership and unwavering commitment to the party’s success in the state.
The donation of the new Zonal Office marks a new chapter for the APC in Enugu North, as the party continues its grassroots mobilization ahead of future elections.
