In a profound display of selfless leadership and compassion, the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Enugu State Chapter, led by its Chairman, Hon. Sydney Okechukwu, joined in celebrating the birthday of His Excellency, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah through acts of generosity and kindness.
The local government chairmen under ALGON paid visits to the Motherless Babies Home, Rehab Center, and Disabilities Home, where they shared love and presented food items (bags of rice, beans, and garri) to the less privileged, pledging to uplift their living conditions.
Speaking during the visit, the Enugu State ALGON Chairman, Hon. Sydney Okechukwu, described Governor Mbah as "a divine gift to Enugu State," emphasizing that his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the welfare of Ndi Enugu remain an inspiration to all. He reiterated ALGON’s dedication to supporting the governor’s developmental agenda, ensuring that every resident of the state, regardless of their circumstances, experiences the dividends of good governance.
The Deputy Chairman of Enugu ALGON and Chairman of Igbo-Eze South Local Government Council, Barr. Ugochukwu Ferdinand Ukwueze, in his remarks, underscored the importance of compassionate governance as exemplified by Governor Mbah.
“Leadership is not just about policies and projects; it is about the lives we touch and the smiles we bring to faces. Governor Mbah has set a remarkable standard of people-centered governance, and as ALGON, we are committed to reflecting his vision by reaching out to those who need support the most. Also speaking, Hon. Uchenna Okolo echoed the significance of celebrating exemplary leadership through impactful community outreach.
