President Bola Tinubu has appointed Prof. James Olugbenga Aribisala as the Vice-Chancellor of the newly established Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences in Iyin Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Along with the Vice-Chancellor, Tinubu also announced key appointments to the university’s leadership team. Mr. Oluwole Olalere Dada has been named the Registrar, Mrs. Adeniyi Rachael Ajayi will serve as the Bursar, while Prof. Isaac Oluwadare Busayo has been appointed as the Librarian to manage the university’s library.
Additionally, President Tinubu appointed Senator Binta Masi Garba as the Pro-Chancellor of the university.
The Governing Council will include:
- Prof. Joseph Olurotimi Sanya
- Mr. Efe Emefienin Emmanuel
- Dr. Joyce Ogunyemi
- Alhaji Dahiru Abdullahi Ruma
These council members will work together to shape the university’s policies.
Recall that in February, President Tinubu approved the establishment of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Science in Iyin Ekiti.
This makes the university the latest addition to Ekiti State’s growing educational landscape, bringing the total number of federal tertiary institutions in the state to six.
