The Enugu State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (EN-RUWASSA) has invited all Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector, alongside other interested stakeholders, to a crucial meeting aimed at setting a new pace for sanitation efforts in the state.
In a notice issued by the Acting Managing Director of EN-RUWASSA, Chika Mbah, the agency announced the successful inauguration of the State Taskforce Group on Sanitation (STGS), a team drawn from 15-line Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). This milestone marks a significant step in the government's commitment to a state-wide total sanitation drive.
The meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, 26th March 2026, at 1 PM, will take place at the EN-RUWASSA Conference Room in Enugu. It is expected to provide a platform for CSOs to engage in discussions on advancing sanitation, water supply, and hygiene initiatives across the state.
According to the announcement, the meeting will play a key role in shaping strategies that align with the objectives of the newly inaugurated STGS, ensuring a more coordinated approach to sanitation and hygiene improvements.
Stakeholders and CSOs in the sector have been urged to attend this important gathering, as it will set the stage for enhanced collaboration and policy implementation in Enugu State’s sanitation and hygiene agenda.
