ENUGU: ALGON Chairman Vowed to Replicate The Farm Estate at Akpawfu in All The 14 Political wards of Nkanu East.

Hon Sydney Okechukwu Edeh, Nkanu East LGA chairman and ALGON Chairman Enugu, on 10th of February, 2025 conducted an on-site assessment of the Amafor ugbawka ward farm estate Project at Uhuona, Ugbawka, Nkanu East LGA. Farm estate is one of the  key initiative of Barr Peter Ndubuisi Mba administration’s agricultural transformation drive to be built in all the 260wards in Enugu State with council chairmen driving the project. 

The project is aimed at bolstering year-round farming, enhancing food security, and driving economic growth in the state.

While speaking at Nvenne waterfall, Hon Sydney Okechukwu Edeh said that the farm estate is vital component of the current administration of Barr Peter Mbah's efforts to promote continuous agricultural production in the state. He said that work have already advanced at the site of Akpawfu farm estate which is the first location of the project in Enugu 

He thanked the community leaders for not only donating the land for the project but also came out en-mass to join him on the inspection.

On his part, the PDP State Treasurer, Hon Patrick Okoh,who is also an indigene, expressed his gratituded to the Chairman for siting the project in his area and admonished his people to support the efforts of the Governor and chairman in bringing development for them. The PG of the town, Chief Sir Osita Ogbu Nwonovo, thanked the Chairman and his entourage, while pledging for their continuous support to the success of the project.
